Feng Shui Tips for a Balanced Home

1. Don’t leave shoes by the front door of your house. Qi rides with the wind and will carry the smell of the shoes into the house. The qi will search the house for water, but if there are no fountains or fish tanks it will be dispersed by the wind.

2. Do not place your stove opposite your refrigerator, washing machine, sink or dishwasher. The clash of fire and water may lead to family disagreements.

3. Bunk beds prevent the child on the lower bunk from receiving fresh qi. If you can’t use single beds, break up the stale qi with a six-rod metal wind chime.

4. Open your bedroom window for at least twenty minutes a day. This will clear out the old qi and bring in the new!

5. Fish tanks can be both beneficial and harmful.  A correctly positioned fish tank will allow you to draw on the “Divine Water Dragon’s Den”, bringing you wealth and prosperity; a poorly-placed tank can lead to work problems, stress and litigation.
